As a parent, I’m continually amazed by the incredible thoughts and actions that come from my children. My ten-year-old Abby is currently working on a pretty cool assignment for school. Starting by researching examples where a community identified a problem and then solved it, Abby and her fellow students have been asked the question “How can you make the world a better place?”
What a great question to ask fifth graders! Their creativity and honest view of the world will no doubt lead to some good solutions. Abby’s passion and drive for this project reminds me a bit of my own mother. As a social worker my mom was very dedicated to helping her community and making a difference in people’s lives.
My mom also taught me I could make a difference and that is my intention with BumbleBar. By buying organic ingredients from farmers around the world, our commitment to ethical sourcing contributes to healthier environments for our farmers and their children. The organic ingredients used in our products also help keep water supplies clean, the earth fertile and the biosphere free of pesticides. It’s a small step but one we are very dedicated to.
Everyone who responds to our question will be entered into a drawing to win a free box of BumbleBars of their choice. I look forward to seeing what BumbleBar supporters come up with to make our world a better place. We will continue to do our part, one bar at a time!
