Crusher’s Craving BumbleBars on the Pacific Crest Trail

Have you heard of the Pacific Crest Trail? It’s a hiking trail, that stretches across the entire country, from Canada to Mexico. (Maybe you’ve heard of it from the movie Wild with Reese Witherspoon.) Angela Boone aka Crusher, contacted BumbleBar after deciding to hike the PCT by herself. We were excited to support her journey and supplied her with an assortment of BumbleBars to keep her mind and body full of energy while she tackles the 2,650-mile trail! Shake Your Tails & Wave Your Paws!

Being a strictly vegetarian facility, the BumbleBar team loves animals! Almost every team member has a pet of their own, and we share stories about them often! Our operations manager, Jim, has two small Dachshund doggies named Chloe and Bauer. Aimee has a fuzzy orange cat named Opie, while Liz and Glenn have two crazy pups named Hannah and Levi. Hannah, (the BB Team Member, not the dog ☺), has a small terrier mix, named Albert. Every Step You Take..

Our team now parks farther away and has the opportunity to take a few more steps before getting to work! Did you know that each step you take contributes to the calories you burn throughout the day? It seems like common sense but it’s something we often don’t think about! According to Shape Up America, you’ll burn one calorie for every 20 steps you take. Shape Up America! encourages a goal of taking 10,000 steps per day to burn 500 calories, which equals a pound of fat over the course of a week.
